Embolism
A pulmonary embolism is a blood clot
which has lodged in one of the blood vessels which supplies the lungs. The clot,
or embolism, will usually have originated in one of the veins in your leg, become
dislodged and migrated to the lungs. Life Alert can give you a peace of mind and get you the help that

Clots happen because the circulation in the lower limbs has become impaired or sluggish.
They are particularly common after operations like hip replacement and abdominal
surgery. Heart failure patients who have been confined to bed for a long period
may be at increased risk of this happening.
