Stroke

Stroke is a sudden death of some brain cells due to a lack of oxygen when the blood flow to the brain is impaired by blockage or rupture of an artery to the brain. Stroke is a medical emergency, and if you suspect that you have a stroke, you need to get to the emergency room as soon as possible for diagnosis and treatment.Life Alert Emergency response allows you to get emergency help right away, even if you can not reach the telephone or you have trouble speaking.

Symptoms of a stroke depend on the area of the brain affected. The most common symptoms are:

- Sudden numbness or weakness of face, arm or leg, especially on one side of the body
