RAVE: Late Saturday, Madelon Zimner’s artificial knee played a trick on her and down she when at her home in
Del Mesa Carmel. She punched the Life Alert button and within two minutes, a crew from the Cypress Fire Protection District’s Rio Road station was there to get her back where she belonged.

After the fire crew left, it happened again, and back they came just as quickly. Before leaving, one of the men fixed her a snack and got her to promise to stay in bed. On Sunday, one of the helpful fellows called to see how she was doing.
