Flat stomach from a pill? Sounds like science fiction, but apparently Avon is now selling such pills. Should you try them? The article below discusses the subject. --Don Rose

It used to be that diet and exercise was the best way to get a flat stomach and tight abs, like the ones you drool over on the beach all day. But these days, people will go to any lengths (and try any supplement) to reach beach babe status.

Some Texas women are buying a pill that's supposed to eliminate the feeling of bloating and suppress appetite. Avon ’s Flat Stomach promises to reduce belly bulge and flatten your stomach.

An easy fix? Dr. Stuart Spechler, a gastroenterologist at the University of Texas , Southwestern says it could work for some people, but it is not recommended as the pills are not well-tested or FDA approved.

A supplement is what it is - it supplements a proper diet and exercise plan. Try all the lose-fat-quick products you want, but don’t underestimate the power of diet and exercise. If you can effectively balance fitness, food, and supplement, you’ll be in that bikini in no time...flat.
